Emma Jensen
Hey, I'm Emma! I graduated from the University of Kansas School of Design with a BFA in Photography. I have a wide range of experience from studio photography to large format film, but I create predominantly documentary-style photographs, where I follow the day-to-day occurrences of a single subject for an extended period of time (view “Dawn to Dusk” or “Empty Nesting” for reference.) A few of my artistic inspirations are Sally Mann, David Hilliard, and Joel Meyerowitz, but the majority of my inspiration comes from being a curious observer of the world around me. I have experience working for KU Marketing & Communications as well as shooting architectural photography for Lisa Jensen Design.
When I’m not taking photographs, I enjoy going on spontaneous adventures, and can be sustained for many days on good tunes, avocados, and furry friends.
